Position Overview

We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Infrastructure Service Manager to join our IT team based in Amsterdam. 
You will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical management of our Private and Public Cloud offering, minimize downtime and improve stability. You are accountable for ensuring that vendors are performing in line with their contractual agreements and defines the overall strategy of how all vendors interact with our IT Infrastructure and Operations team, in order to fulfil the needs of the business.
This engagement will be delivered through a combination of industry best practice and innovative technology solutions.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
You are the main contact for day to day Infrastructure operations related to our Datacenter and Cloud landscape by efficiently managing our support and hosting partner in charge of:

  • Infrastructure (e.g: Citrix, IAAS, Azure, Private and Public Cloud Services).
  • Manage and Steer any Major Incident when required and ensure timely resolution of Incidents – ensure additional ITSM process such as problem management, Root Cause analysis, when relevant.
  • Control and ensure Change implementation related to Infrastructure & underlying landscape are executed with high quality following a  “first time right delivery” approach.
  • Review on a regular base infrastructure operations and performance, ensure KPI’s are met  (SLA, SLO).
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained up -to-date by the Operations team, including HLD, LLD, Runbooks and standard Operating procedures.
  • Accountable for the efficiency of infrastructure relating to the Cloud & Data Centre Services function across the business, using a continuous improvement approach to achieve optimal outputs. 
  • Manage operation, health, and security of a multi-site domain.

 

As Service Manager, you will also be responsible for developing the relationship with stakeholders and your lead leveraging the Private and Public Cloud environment under your responsibility:

  • Develop the stakeholder engagement framework to develop and maintain relationship with Infrastructure functional teams across the organization.
  • Define KPI’s to measure service quality.
  • Responsible to develop and maintain a continuous improvement plan related to Infrastructure.
  • Develop, jointly with Infrastructure architects and your lead, technical roadmap for Infrastructure to fulfill Business requirements.
  • Harmonize and standardize as much as possible the way we work and the technology we leverage on the different Infrastructure landscapes under your scope of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders (Peers, architects, Management) to create the service roadmap.

Key Functional Competencies 
You possess the following:

  • Language: English (Fluent) Desirable: Second European Language (preferred)
  • Service Management / ITIL / Project Management experience is desirable.
  • Analytical & driving results: assist in developing and deploying key governance, processes & procedures
  • Knowledge of Service Management principles (Preferred)
  • Other competencies: persistent / strong communicator / pro-active / enthusiastic

 

Experience / Education
You are/have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure service management in a large organization leveraging both Public and private cloud
  • 5+ years of Demonstrable experience in IT Support in an MS Azure (incl Security) environment
  • Working in cross-functional teams on a European or Global level
  • Experienced in driving Service Providers to render the services
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps environment is a plus
