About the role


We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic PAM Support Engineer to join our IT team based in Amsterdam. 

This role is responsible for the day-to-day activities of maintaining and controlling our Privilege Access Management (PAM) solution, which is essential for the management of Employees access to our systems. It will ensure daily health checks with regards to access to our systems and will manage any required changes, including a timely and proper resolution of incidents as they occur. In addition, it will ensure that all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and documentation are maintained by both this role and our vendors. Most importantly it is the operational single point of contact for our Operating Companies in relation to all PAM services.


Main responsibilities


In this role you'll:


  • Manage Minor and support Major updates of the PAM software.
  • Manage all Joiner Mover Leaver (JML) activities in PAM tooling.
  • Monitor and resolve failed Security checks in PAM tooling and related Splunk incidents.
  • Provide an efficient interface with various teams (internal/external) and provide appropriate technical support to all teams working with PAM tooling.
  • Evaluate and maintain the PAM tool against the CRH standards (Control Matrix and design documents) and CRH Group security requirements (including hardening)
  • Be responsible for the Disaster Recovery testing of the PAM tooling including alternative access control scenario's.
  • Analyse all PAM infrastructure changes and monitor impact for the same
  • Provide appropriate technical solutions to resolve any issues efficiently.
  • Be responsible for the IT-Control aspects related to Privilege Access Management (User Access review, SOx Controls, Permission checks)
  • Develop various reports for Auditing and/or management purposes.
  • Be responsible for vendors meeting the agreed OLA's/SLA's required by the business.


Experience & qualifications


To be successful in this role you'll need:


  • Degree level or other relevant education.
  • Proven managed services experience, including some experience in IT-security (experience with Delinea (Thycotic) Secret Server is desirable)
  • An understanding of ITIL Fundamentals.
  • Incident and problem management expericence
  • A basic knowledge of networking. 
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Windows and Linux OS management experience
  • Relationship and supplier management experience
  • Experience of working in a federated matrix model.
  • A fluency in English (a second European language is desirable)


Stakeholders include: The entire IT leadership team; Cloud & DC Services function; cross-functional IT teams; senior leadership (various) as required to support projects and initiatives.

Travel expectations: Frequent travel (20 -25%) is expected in this role
