Currently CRH has an opportunity for you to become a Senior Accountant in the Corporate Accounting & Insurance team in Amsterdam. As a team we deliver accurate and timely accounting services to the Amsterdam Head Office divisions and functions. We play a central role within the wider finance organization and are responsible for the AP/AR processes, VAT compliance, financial reporting for our legal holding entities on a global scale, payroll review, and provide parent company services and funding for CRH group companies all over the world. We work in close collaboration with the CRH legal, tax, insurance and treasury teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

As the Senior Accountant in our team, you act as a business partner for budget holders and senior stakeholders in relation to financial analysis, budget development and monitoring, cost allocation and forecasts. At the same time you continuously strive to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the activities of the Corporate Accounting team. You design and maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiency. REQUIREMENTS

·         A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance or Accounting

·         5+ years of related accounting experience

·         A solid understanding of accounting practices and principles

·         The ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across different cultures

·         Experience with budget preparation and budgetary control
