Position Overview:

Responsible for performing routine tests as required on materials, in process components, and final product. Participates in the validation of test, inspection, processing methods, and materials qualification.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Clear understanding of asphalt procedures

Safely and efficiently collect Aggregate and Hot Mix Asphalt samples for testing

Coordinates with QC Lead Technician daily to ensure proper samples are obtained

Ability to prepare and submit proper test documentation to QC Lead Technician

Ability to perform test procedures relative to job specs in a timely and accurate manner

Promptly report non-compliant test results to QC Lead Technician/QC Regional Manager

Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with coworkers, customers, and public

Perform daily housekeeping operations and maintain a clean lab environment

Properly follow all company policies and regulations for a safe working environment

Ability to be flexible with last minute changes, location changes, and time shift changes

Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion

Adherence to the Quality Control Ethical Policy

Education and/or Experience:

Experience preferred, but not required.

High School diploma

Job Requirements and Skills:

Computer skills

Strong writing and verbal skills

Strong attention to detail

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Physical Demands:

This position requires walking, standing, bending, twisting, sitting and lifting

Salary

$18.50 - $20/hr
