OBE is seeking an Architectural Business Development Representative for the southeastern US and surrounding markets. This individual will be a builder- and responsible for creating demand for the entire Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope product line by promoting to architects and project stakeholders.  And we will give you the keys to make the job yours- and own it with an entrepenurial mindset.  Go grow your business with the support of one of the biggest and best companies in our industry.

Here's What You'll Get to Do:

  • Conduct effective calls and appointments with architects, developers, owners and consultants promoting Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope
  • Build a pipeline of projects and relationships that lead to sales
  • Promote Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope to architects and specification writers to become the project specification Basis of Design
  • Learn competitor products & develop strategies to successfully promote Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope
  • Work closely with the Business Development Team, Territory Sales Representatives and Architectural Building Solutions Group in developing strong relationships with architects and industry influencers
  • Inform leadership of market demands and product trends

 

Here's What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in; promoting to commercial architects, strong product knowledge in storefront, window wall, curtain wall and glass products, glazing system application and ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications, and building integration knowledge
  • Previous sales experience and college degree preferred
  • Strong professional presence with the ability and confidence to professionally present to large groups, specifically architects and project teams
  • Estimated Travel 50%
  • Working knowledge / experience with Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge / experience with CRM systems
  • Experience providing powerpoint presentations
  • Technical background / competency
  • AutoCAD a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving are imperative skills for success
  • Collaborative, team-oriented personality with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships
