Job Summary


The Oldcastle Architectural Products Group (APG) is seeking an Electrical Production Support Specialist for its North American Masonry and Hardscape Division.  The Production Support Specialist shall provide training and support to APG facilities as the Subject Matter Expert in the electrical challenges in our manufacturing equipment and Operations facilities.


  • Review existing training materials and create new materials to achieve training objectives
  • Holding training classes for all levels of our Operations team 
  • Demonstrate appropriate public speaking and communication skills
  • Set a positive tone for the training, including clearly setting expectations, encouraging participation, and using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Assist Operations team review electrical drawings for new machine installations as well as new facility construction
  • Other duties may be assigned.




  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
  • Experience working with equipment in a manufacturing setting (mechanical & electrical)
  • Some level of teaching or training experience
  • Identify basic principles of electricity, Ohm's law, Equipment Testing, Electrical Safety
  • Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E standards
  • Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Teach the manufacturing side of electricity including Electrical Safety in the Workplace, Basic Electronics, and Advanced Electronics
  • Teach and coach the three hazards of electricity - shock, arc, and blast
  • De-energized work procedures
  • Safety signs and guarding of energized parts
  • Must be a safety champion
  • Must have excellent people skills so the above can be coached and trained
  • Expert knowledge on the following:
    • 480-volt systems
    • Full understanding of electric motors & Light curtains
    • Photo eyes
    • Proximity switches
    • Motor starters
    • Relay contactors





  • Master Electrician’s License or 7 years of similar work experience
  • Certifications (if applicable)
  • 5 years direct experience in the manufacturing industry strongly preferred
  • Associate degree or technical college degree/certificate preferred
  • Prior experience as a Trainer/Instructor
  • Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)
