Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Technology Infrastructure, the IS Security Manager plays a vital role in developing, implementing, maintaining and improving an information security program, ensuring the safekeeping of Oldcastle Infrastructure stakeholder data. This hands-on position requires a thorough knowledge of security best practices, including compliance frameworks, monitoring, alerting and reporting. This is an exciting role where you will be empowered to lead IS security, providing visibility, support and guidance to IS leadership and through customer support. The role will coordinate with existing IS analysts, developers, engineers and functional managers to maintain stability, security and availability of business solutions. This individual will ensure that all solutions, with related procedures, adhere to organizational standards, controls and best practices, according to industry standards.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to maintain controls and compliance, including SOX
  • Identifies key controls applicable to the business and ensures these controls are achievable in order to attain 100% compliance.
  • Partner with the different IT groups across the various companies under the Oldcastle/CRH umbrella to set security protocols and implement within Oldcastle
  • Provide leadership in the identification, escalation, and communication of security incidents; and manage the mitigation and response activities to vulnerability exploitations.
  • Ensure oversight of all security systems and tools
  • Perform technical security and vulnerability assessments (including penetration tests) to identify, investigate, and initiate preventive measures to address potential security threats.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Leading Problem Management for Security to identify root cause and alternatives to mitigate risk
  • Monitor the operating efficiency of existing application systems and provides proactive maintenance
  • Accountable for day-to-day operations and remediation tracking of Enterprise vulnerability scanning, partnering with an MSSP
  • Demonstrate an understanding of company risk assessment
  • Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Participate as an effective contributor in CRH global and Oldcastle Inc, regional security working groups, conferences, programs of work and projects as required.




  • 5+ years of experience in IT security at the enterprise level
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and managing enterprise security to include endpoint, IPS, firewall, AV, and application security
  • Knowledge of multiple operating systems and commands, as well as an understanding of IT Security and network best practices and software/hardware solutions.
  • Knowledge of database structures and queries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in verifying systems, applications and business processes are secure.
  • Preferred experience of Microsoft technologies (e.g. Active Directory, SQL database, Windows servers, etc.)
  • Preferred experience of Cisco-based firewalls, intrusion detection systems, advance malware protection, NAC, web and email protection.
  • Preferred knowledge of data encryption methods




  • Certifications: CISM; GICH; CISA; CEH; Security+ (or similar preferred)
  • 2+ years SOC for 10+ Location Enterprise
  • Experience with the Following Applications/Tools Desired:
    • SIEM (Splunk preferred)
    • ISE
    • Cisco AMP
    • OKTA
    • Qualys

Work Requirements


  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required by business needs
  • Office location for this position is Oldcastle Infrastructure’s headquarters in Atlanta, GA

  • Conduct in depth evaluations, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  • Must be passionate about Security and highly driven by results
  • Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • Ability to manage vendors / partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of ITIL Best Practices, Including Change, Incident, and Problem Management
