Position Overview 

The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems software with related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research to assist with the delivery and ongoing support of innovation within the infrastructure environment. This individual ensures that, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards, controls and best practices according to industry standards. 


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Act as Subject Matter Expert, Managing and Monitoring all Applications Systems with Related Infrastructure
  • Install, Configure, Test and Maintain Operating Systems and System Management Tools
  • Monitor, Test and Maintain Application Performance and Availability; Design Operational Processes; Collaborate with Management, Developers and Engineers on Integration
  • Maintain Security, Backup and Redundancy Strategies
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Level Support
  • Coordinate Server and PC OS Level Patching and Upgrades; Standardize and Distribute Administrative Tools and Utilities
  • Drives Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in the Design of Information and Operational Support Systems
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Level Support
  • Liaise with Vendors and other IT Personnel on Problem Resolution
  • Generate Quality Documentation of Procedures and Processes



Sufficient education, training and/or work experience required to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge and skills




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Similar Preferred
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (or equivalent) Required
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert Certification Desired
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 MCSA/MCSE Certification Preferred
  • 4+ years Microsoft Server 2012/2016 Systems Administration Experience
  • 2+ years Supporting 10+ Location Enterprise Environment
  • VMware ESXi / vSphere Experience a Plus
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • 4+ years of Windows Server 2008R2/2012
  • Experience with the Following Applications/Tools Required:
    • ServiceNow ITSM & ITOM
    • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
    • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)


Work Requirements 


  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required by business needs

Knowledge/Skill Requirements 


  • Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach; works well in a team.
  • A Solid Understanding of LAN/WAN Infrastructure
  • Fluent in PowerShell Scripting
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication including Presentation Skills
  • Ability to Manager Vendors / Partners
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent understanding of ITIL Best Practices, Including Change and Incident Management
