Position Overview

 

 

CRH has organized a suite of strategic capabilities across North America and Europe to support its strong portfolio of operating businesses, advancing the company’s understanding of what it takes to succeed as a leading organization. Working closely with the CRH Strategy, Innovations and Ventures (SIV) Team, the broader strategy organization is tasked with evaluating growth strategies, fueling an entrepreneurial mindset, and fostering collaboration across the business all key for the next chapter of CRH’s success.

 

This role will be based in Atlanta, GA.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Provide thought leadership and help develop and guide the strategic direction for CRH at Global, Division and Platform levels
  • Lead multiple strategic projects and ensure delivery of impactful, high-quality deliverables
  • Lead project team(s) through full project development and execution process, including hypothesis generation, workstream development, project management and delivery
  • Craft insightful, compelling, relevant, well-supported and memorable storylines to share project insights with senior leadership to help drive CRH strategy
  • Present projects to CRH senior leadership for maximum impact and outcome
  • Develop deep knowledge of relevant business topics and serve as subject matter expert for CRH strategy team and broader organization
  • Coach junior team members including feedback on work quality, provide constructive peer and upward feedback
  • Manage individual direct report team members including formal performance management, personal and career development
  • Work with CRH Strategy team and business leaders to identify and analyze strategic issues, growth opportunities, and challenges across CRH, providing actionable insights and optionality to CRH Leadership Teams
  • Provide high-quality strategic analysis to support assigned projects, including preparation of comprehensive Excel models and PowerPoint presentations, and other tools to support strategy development with senior leadership
  • Follow business trends across the industry, synthesizing real time insights and contextualizing with current CRH efforts

Qualifications

 

Education / Experience

 

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, including 5+ years in Management Consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum, MBA or relevant master’s degree (preferred) 
  • Construction materials industry experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams addressing meaningful business issues and delivering measurable impact
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to perform under deadline pressure
  • Ability to understand and follow complex verbal and/or written instructions

Work Requirements

 

  • Must be 18 years in age or older
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment, assisting the team with other duties as required
  • Ability to work on a global team spanning many time-zones
  • On site work environment at least 4 days per week in office when not traveling (some flexibility to work from home)
  • Domestic and international travel approx. 25% may be necessary according to the demands of the role
  • The position may require work outside of normal business hours
