- Material Procurement & Inventory Control: Maintain operational ownership of the carpentry shop by tracking inventory levels for lumber, foam, and hardware, and proactively ordering raw materials to align with upcoming production demands.
- Production Scheduling & Readiness: Ensure all custom formwork is built, verified for dimensional squareness and accuracy, and positioned at the pouring bays to meet the daily production schedule.
- Quality & Operational Oversight: Monitor formwork stability during active concrete placement and collaborate with the production crew during the stripping process to ensure product quality and maximize form longevity.
- Shop Stewardship & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant indoor woodworking environment. Ensure all machinery guards, dust collection systems, and safety features are utilized at all times.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry, commercial framing, cabinet making, or concrete form-building experience.
- Blueprint Proficiency: Advanced ability to read, interpret, and accurately execute builds from complex shop drawings, structural engineering blueprints, and architectural layouts.
- Machinery & Tool Expertise: Proven experience safely operating industrial woodworking machinery, including commercial table saws, radial arm saws, miter saws, routers, and pneumatic fastening systems.
- Professional Competencies: Strong organizational, time-management, and self-directed work habits. Must be capable of managing a solo shop schedule and communicating effectively with plant management.
