Position Overview
The IT Infrastructure Operations Lead is responsible for the development, optimisation, and management of the organisation’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures the maintenance, reliability, and resilience of all IT infrastructure components, including data centers, cloud services, and network security. The IT Infrastructure Operations Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and managing incidents to deliver high-quality IT services. This is a leadership position which requires strong technical knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple IT teams and processes effectively.
The role requires overseeing IT operations across multiple global locations to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery. The IT Infrastructure Operations Lead will be key in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The IT Infrastructure Operations Lead must have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure services and the expectations of customers to ensure effective service delivery that supports their efficiency and performance.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead day-to-day IT operations to ensure efficient service delivery across all infrastructure services.
- Oversee the management of IT incidents to ensure they are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence in IT services.
- Develop and manage the performance and development of technology operations staff and specialists.
- Ensure the reliability, resilience, and optimisation of IT infrastructure, including data centers, cloud services, and network security.
- Engage with IT leadership and OpCos to ensure alignment and support for IT infrastructure operations initiatives.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of IT infrastructure components, such as data centers, cloud services, and network security.
- Manage third-party relationships with key vendors and service providers, including governance and performance reviews.
- Support relevant transformation activities and projects, contributing to the overall success of the transformation programme.

Experience / Education
You are/have:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in an IT Operations team.
- College diploma or university degree in business, information systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience managing teams and processes within IT Infrastructure Operations environment.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Prince2, TOGAF, PMBOK or similar are highly desirable.
- Experience working in the construction materials or industrial manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience of working in a federated matrix model.
