Position Overview
The Transformation Lead is responsible for driving and managing a strategic transformation programme within CRH Europe Technology, enabling and enhancing the scope and quality of IT services to support the business. They will be responsible for coordinating transformation activity, managing resources, and engaging senior stakeholders across CRH to drive the programme’s success.


This role involves overseeing both ongoing tactical enhancements and strategic initiatives, ensuring they are effectively integrated and aligned with business objectives. These initiatives span across multiple IT domains such as Data Centre & Cloud, Service Management, End User Devices, and Networks and Security. The Transformation Lead will oversee these initiatives and ensure the transformation programme achieves the organisation’s ambitious goals.


This is a leadership position that requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple teams and processes effectively.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Lead the strategic transformation programme, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful delivery of transformation initiatives.
  • Oversee ongoing enhancements to improve current services and address existing issues.
  • Manage the phased rollout of expanded core service offerings to OpCos, ensuring smooth integration, change management, and adoption.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across all transformation initiatives.
  • Engage with IT Leadership and across OpCos to ensure alignment and support for transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate the impact of transformation projects to the business and prioritise projects with the highest business impact.
  • Monitor and communicate the performance of transformation initiatives.
  • Analyse and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor transformation progress, predict trends, and address issues proactively.

Experience / Education
You are/have:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Management experience in an IT related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a transformation related role. 
  • College diploma or university degree in business, information systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working in the construction materials or industrial manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience of working in a federated matrix model.
