Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Communicate with production and management on all issues within the plant.
Job Responsibilities
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
- Organize and plan maintenance each day
- Prepare for scheduled maintenance
- Responsible for organization of schedules for special projects, in addition to preventative maintenance
- Maintain good house-keeping within shop and all maintenance areas
- Responsible for adherence to safety rules and making certain all monthly safety meetings are held with all maintenance employees in attendance
- Order parts needed for special projects and regular maintenance supplies
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Responsible for training and supervising other members of maintenance team
Job Requirements
- Must have knowledge in block production
- Possess mechanical, hydraulic, welding and fabrication abilities
- Computer skills a plus
- Teamwork and problem solving a must
- PLC systems / understanding a plus
