Job Summary
This role will require leading and working alongside the team in the cage department.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of all machine functions
- Reading blueprints
- Interpreting structural schematics and rebar tags to determine bar size, shape, and placement
- Cutting and bending metal
- Using gas-powered saws and hydraulic shears to format raw steel
- Assembly and tying metal
- Creating rigid rebar cages or mats by spacing and fastening crossing bars together using wire reels and pliers

Positioning the finished cages in concrete forms and placing supports to ensure the steel is perfectly embedded
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements
- High school diploma/equivalent or at least one month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to use tape measures, pliers, reels, and welding preferred
- Ability to review and understand operator instructions
- Ability to use basic math
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
