Job Summary

 

This role will require leading and working alongside the team in the cage department.


Job Responsibilities

 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of all machine functions
  • Reading blueprints
  • Interpreting structural schematics and rebar tags to determine bar size, shape, and placement
  • Cutting and bending metal
  • Using gas-powered saws and hydraulic shears to format raw steel
  • Assembly and tying metal
  • Creating rigid rebar cages or mats by spacing and fastening crossing bars together using wire reels and pliers
  • Positioning the finished cages in concrete forms and placing supports to ensure the steel is perfectly embedded
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

 

Job Requirements

 

  • High school diploma/equivalent or at least one month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to use tape measures, pliers, reels, and welding preferred
  • Ability to review and understand operator instructions
  • Ability to use basic math
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
