Job Summary

 

We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Account Manager (Inside Sales) to join our sales team.  Key goals for position are to provide best in class customer experience, achieve above average client retention, quotes conversion ratio, sell product upgrades, and expand the scope of work where possible. Speed, accuracy, and effective communication are crucial to success in this role.

 

The Account Manager will be responsible for key internal-facing activities to help improve sales force effectiveness and maximize the selling team’s performance. In this position, the Account Manager will also engage in customer-facing activities, which focus on expanding customer reach, driving sales engagement, creating leads, and enhancing customer experience.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Achieve sales revenue, gross profit, and activity targets
  • 100% Accuracy of CRM and ERP data (update all sales related activity in real time)
  • Engaging customers by phone, email, web interface and in person or virtual meetings
  • Connect with clients and partners providing superior service, efficient execution of tasks, in an efficient, accurate manner using empathy and understanding to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Assess the overall project scope, review/suggest projects takeoffs, colors and styles, while selling upgrades, and expanding the overall scope of the project as required
  • Manage all open projects and quotes daily, ensuring that projects are attended to, accurate, and on track to be completed as quickly as possible
  • Understanding customers’ needs, handling objections, and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, positive attitude, and exceptional communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Ensure customer issues are resolved in an efficient and effective manner while remaining compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, positive attitude, and exceptional communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Liaise with operations, logistics, purchasing, marketing, product development, finance, and sales to best support the fulfillment of customer’s inquiries, orders, and issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development as required
  • Other duties as required

 

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

 

  • Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in related field
  • 3-5 years (preferably industry related) in account management or insides sales
  • Proficiency in French is an asset
  • Strong communication skills, both strong listening and communication skills
  • Advance mathematical skills, calculate percentages, sales prices and discounts
  • Teamwork, communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Skills in persuasion and influencing, building relationships, develop trust and how to persuade
