Position Overview

Oversee the erection, maintenance and deconstruction of portable plant operations for Central Sand and Gravel. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Operate crusher and heavy equipment in a safety manner.
  • Manage the crusher set up and teardown when mobile.
  • Oversees and maintains appropriate inventory levels.
  • Ensures that equipment and facilities are properly maintained including ordering parts and maintenance.
  • Works with the Quality Control Department to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Overnight travel and weekend work is required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university
  • 3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.                                                                      

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.                                             

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.                                                                           

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.                                                                  

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word processing software.  Ability to effectively communicate using e-mail.
