You will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. You will mentor the OBE Infrastructure Team members in the routine operational management of the company's technology portfolio to resolve routine service requests and successfully diagnose, troubleshoot, and ultimately resolve incidents. You will lead efforts for routine maintenance of the production environment and work with either partners or escalated service issues to external contractors based on an escalation and support framework.

Job Summary:

  • Establishes relationships and work directly with vendor solutions within projects and upgrades of the environment
  • Creates, maintains, and updates platform documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Available to support daytime operations and release activities after business hours.
  • Adheres to client change and configuration management processes
  • Maintains responsibility, accountability, and credibility in all work and research assignments and sustained ability to be highly self-motivated and directed
  • Identifies, isolates, and resolves production and non-production system problems, service requests and support processes
  • Install, configure, and support Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows Roles and Features (IIS, SSL, .Net, AD, SFTP, etc.), and applications in various public and private cloud environments
  • Install, migrate, and programmatically deploy printers
  • Must be able to accurately troubleshoot Windows configuration issues, performance issues, and various service/failures
  • Must have a good understanding of firewalls, IPS/IDS, and server port management
  • Develops operating procedures for system administration activities, including system monitoring, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and server architecture design and system maintenance
  • Follows operating procedures and utilizes established support tools for analysis and reporting requirements
  • Interfaces with external and internal Network Engineers, Storage Engineers, Database Administrators, and Application Teams to optimize systems use and configuration
  • Provides technical knowledge and recommendations to staff members as required
  • Ensure the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of Systems, Applications, and Services
  • Experience with PowerShell scripts (read/writing). Python/Ansible/Puppet preferred

 

What you bring to the team:

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study. Minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, including specialized knowledge of a discipline utilized to lead an area of our business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional Certification desired: MCSA or MCSE preferred.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and virtualization
  • Experience with server and SAN hardware HPE/Nimble
  • Advanced knowledge of networking technologies and protocols such as IP address, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with helpdesk ticket systems
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written to technical and non-technical staff
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize assigned projects, help desk calls, and emails
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and ability to research new technologies
  • Knowledge of IT business processes and practices, including ITIL methodology
