Job Summary

 

 

The QA & QC Technician’s main focus is to ensure QA/QC compliance of raw and processed materials through laboratory testing,. The Employee will report to the worksite on time, attend daily safety briefings, and ensure all QC and QA tests are performed timely and according to Company requirements.  Specific job duties include, but are not limited to load customer trucks, ensur all certifications are accompanied with outgoing loads, ensure samples are obtained from each outgoing load, report the daily load totals in an approved spreadsheet, obtain, record, and test samples from the processing facility, obtain, record, and test samples from the staging area, ship samples as needed, and attend to any daily clerical needs that arise.  

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

 

  • Operate laboratory testing equipment including muffle furnaces, drying ovens, and weigh scales  
  • Record, retain, and distribute laboratory results 
  • Operate an instrument control panel 
  • Communicate clear instructions via CB radio 
  • Maintain a professional environment 
  • Adjust and adapt to increased sampling volume as business needs dictate 
  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade 
  • At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field 
  • Ability to competently navigate Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook  
  • Able to accurately read digital scale readouts  
  • Able to prioritize tasks and complete assigned duties in a timely manner 
  • Able to read and comprehend DOT, DEP, and ASTM standards 
  • Able to calculate QC results using basic math and report data accurately  
  • Able to work both under direct supervision and alone 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
