Irish Cement is offering a number of graduates the opportunity to join our three-year management development program. Based initially in our Drogheda location.
Purpose:
This role involves working on large-scale projects dealing with plant maintenance and large-scale plant improvement projects.
Large Scale Plant Improvement Projects:
- Involved in design and installation of electrical infrastructure required for new equipment
- Involvement in commissioning of projects.
- Design of 6 kV Medium Voltage networks and Motors, Low Voltage networks and Motors, Instrumentation and Control Systems
Other Duties:
- Troubleshooting of electrical issues on site
- Assisting in management of Electrical Preventative Maintenance system
- Planning major shutdowns/ overhauls and responsible for specific projects during shutdowns
- Responsible for directing contractors on specific jobs/projects
- Improving plant availability, troubleshooting and successfully resolving electrical issues in designated areas
- Involvement in development of the electrical documentation and drawings system on site
- Draughting and review of electrical schematics
Standards of Performance:
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Autocad
- Ability to take responsibility for and control large scale projects
Graduates will also take part in the CRH management development program, which will provide you with training and exposure to various sections of the business in order to develop technical, interpersonal, commercial and management skills. (www.itpcement.com)
Ideal candidates will be aiming for a 1.1/minimum 2.1 honours degree. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be a distinct advantage.
