The Global Mobility Specialist is part of a team responsible for delivering the CRH Global Mobility plan. The Global Mobility Specialists helps to supports the business to navigate the complexity of the movement of our people. This includes formal long term assignments and short term assignments.  It also includes commuter assignments, graduate assignment international rotations, frequent business travelers and other people who have roles that structurally and permanently require them to work across borders. The role holder is also responsible for supporting the Global Mobility Manager, the Global Head of Mobility and the Divisional Reward Directors to ensure accurate compensation modelling and assignment package creation. The Mobility Specialist reports directly to the Global Mobility Manager and the role is based in our Dublin office.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of the day to day operations of CRH’s Mobility program, including support for queries from candidates and other stakeholders and best practice advice on assignment management or relocation matters; 
  • Support the global business leadership with Mobility related advice including transfer/relocation costs, tax and immigration guidance; 
  • Support the Global Mobility Manager and the Global Head of Mobility in all aspects of cross-border situations, implement plans/take action to ensure the company is compliant and ensure individuals are aware of any personal taxation implications 
  • Support the Global Mobility Manager in preparing compensation summaries and liaise with the business/assignees on finalising and agreeing compensation packages;  
  • Ensure compliance from an individual tax, immigration and corporate risk perspective for CRH’s mobile population, particularly our commuters and frequent business travellers;
  • Identify and drive initiatives to improve the program’s efficiency and to enhance the assignee experience 
  • Contribute materials and communication to promote awareness and understanding of global mobility at CRH;   
  • Ensure governance and adherence to company global mobility policies
  • Working on multiple adhoc projects within the global mobility space and delivering within the agreed timelines and quality standards, with the aim of identifying new opportunities, optimizing procedures and programs, and continuously improving processes.
  • Support the annual and mid-year assignee salary review process including preparing communications to employees regarding their updated compensation statements
  • Ensure the payroll process for assignees runs smoothly; 
  • Work closely with the global mobility third-party vendor; Maintain relationships, manage contracts and ensure performance expectations met

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business/Legal/Finance
  • 3- 5 years of overall Mobility/Tax experience
  • Previous experience in a multinational environment in a Global Mobility function beneficial
  • Deep and broad understanding of global mobility compliance, particularly focused on global tax, social security, immigration, mobility compensation and risk management 
  • Experience with working with external vendors and managing delivery of services beneficial
