Position Overview 

CRH is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Junior Risk Analyst to work within its Group Risk team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing formalisation and enhancement of the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework and ongoing risk reporting. This Framework is a critical component of CRH’s risk process focusing on managing the risks CRH faces in strategy execution. The position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of dynamic team seeking to influence risk management behaviours across CRH and develop an in-depth understanding of the Group’s operations and management activities.

 

The role is cross-functional with exposure to other functions both in Stonemasons Way, CRH’s Dublin-based headquarters, and internationally. The continued growth of the Group is anticipated to create opportunities for the right individual for progression both within the Group Risk team and in the wider Group.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Group Risk Team to assist in the implementation of risk management practices to enhance local and Group decision-making and improve organisational resilience
  • Monitoring industry, environment and regulations for emerging risks and challenges through active horizon scanning and participation in industry events / seminars
  • Develop sound knowledge of risk management principles to research, analyse, and recommend sustainable improvements to processes, frameworks, and systems
  • Lead the ongoing maintenance and development of the risk management information system and other reporting systems
  • Lead the ongoing development of the Group Risk communication channels and develop periodic pulse reports & knowledge sharing materials
  • Undertaking any other risk related initiatives as directed by the Head of Risk

Your Education and Experience

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Teams)
  • Holder of an appropriate third level qualification
