CRH is looking for a Sustainability Manager within the Finance and Accounting department. The role includes leading and contributing to the corporate sustainability reporting team (part of the Finance function). The role will be centred around delivering key social data (including human resources, human rights and safety outputs) for various CRH documents including the Annual Report, Sustainability Report and other internal requirements. Other key objectives will be developing value-creation opportunities through the data collection process, responding to key stakeholder requirements, and ensuring CRH’s sustainability leadership position and reputation.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead and contribute to the corporate sustainability reporting team in areas including data gathering, ESG reporting, data monitoring and compliance against key targets, policies, and strategies. Developing reporting systems to ensure compliance against regulations, best practice and third-party assurance
Understand evolving stakeholder expectations on leading-class performance in sustainability and recommend actions for CRH to achieve its strategic objectives
Provide high quality analysis of data developing key visualisation techniques.
Strong communication and influencing skills required, building relationships with key identified stakeholders and represent CRH in certain collaborative initiatives
Prepare presentations and communication materials for senior leadership and external stakeholders. Develop training materials for key stake holders

Key Functional Competencies and Relevant Experience
You are/have:

Be a logical and creative thinker with the ability to identify different ways to solve problems and have a strong ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms
Have experience in environmental management with operational experience
Can build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels of the organisation
Are a great collaborator, with well-developed influencing skills and the ability to gain support for ideas, proposals, projects and solutions
Can communicate effectively, with advanced written communication skills. Have strong numeric skills with the ability to provide data analysis and insights
Have project management leadership skills and strong attention to detail
Have the ability to execute directly at high quality and pace, with a proven track record delivering to tight deadlines
Have strong commercial acumen and a focus on delivering value to the business
Your Education and Experience
You are/have:
At least 8- 10 years’ postgraduate experience in an operational, delivery-focused role
Educated to degree level or equivalent; previous exposure to sustainability or environmental related subject matter is an advantage
Proven track record delivery of impressive results, experience on a successful cross functional project team would be an advantage
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and use of databases is essential
