Job Description Summary

• Seeking a Traffic Control Technician Responsible for overseeing traffic control operations on road construction sites to ensure safety of workers, drivers and pedestrians

Requirements

• Must attend and pass all AATSA required classes 
• Work with the project manager with a variety of duties associated with traffic control.
• Deliver necessary equipment to all job sites and locations using trucks and trailers.
• Keep records of delivery of both time and equipment.
• Will coordinate with the superintendents on jobs.
• Will be responsible for Maintenance of Traffic coordination and set-up
• Will work in very close proximity to traffic (including Interstate)
• Will be required to work from a moving vehicle regularly
• Will place cones and barrels as required to maintain the flow of traffic
• Will be responsible for maintaining all cones and barrels properly placed during production – checking for knocked over cones and barrels 
• Will maintain safety of projects by maintaining drop-offs, potholes, etc.
• The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented
• Ability to be flexible with last-minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Some night work may be required
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
