Job Summary

 

Oldcastle Lawn and Garden Division is searching for an experienced Business Analyst to provide analytical and application support for specific areas in order to deliver results that improve sales and supply chain performance.

 

  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing data for sales trends and forecasting purposes
  • Perform category or program analysis to improve business results
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Menards inventory analyst to identify issues and strategies. Coordinate with the demand planning team to improve forecast visibility & accuracy using POS data.
  • Providing detailed inventory analysis, identifying problem forecasts or in-stock issues and proactively communicating issues with corrective actions to ensure meeting customer in-stock target at store level minimizing out-of-stocks.
  • Works directly with the demand planner, customer and sales account team to align forecasts and receive important promotion or event information that will impact the supply chain.
  • Drive improvements of Menards monthly vendor scorecard metrics. Communicates progress on key customer scorecard measures; including onsite vendor auto report, out of stocks, and Ad tracker, to all internal and customer stakeholders. Accountable for recommendations and action plans for improvements
  • Collaborative Planning process - Provides input and recommendations for the planning process integrating customer specific data for sales trends, new items, mix changes and promotional item performance including tracking to ensure stores have sufficient inventory coverage and product on order
  • Utilize software packages such as Space Planning to analyze plan-o-gram performance and create strategies for growth
  • Supply category assistance such as Modular/Prospace Planning, Line Review Analysis, and Promotional Analysis

 

Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent in training, experience, and education
  • 2 years’ experience relating to logistics or supply chain, planning, scheduling, and logistics concepts within DIY / Hardware / Home Improvement Industry
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as required  
  • Experience and understanding of the retail marketplace is desired 
  • Advanced analytical experience to identify market trends, gap analysis, and space to sales 
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Prospace, PowerPoint, Access) 
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to drive competing priorities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, project planning and leadership skills
