Position Overview

Performs a variety of clerical and administrative responsibilities within the accounts payable and payroll departments.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

· Export daily timecards from B2W and InField into Viewpoint

· Reconcile weekly payroll by reviewing and verifying accuracy of payroll entries and other information

· Answer phones and emails from vendors and internal customers as necessary.

· Create and maintain purchase orders in Proactis

· Resolve discrepancies and queries between invoices and purchase orders

· Audit for authorized signatures and correct backup of all invoices and check request forms. Prep and submit weekly to Shared Services department

· Submit vendor changes/updates to Procurement team

· Assist with other accounting duties as necessary

 

Other Requirements:

· Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.

· Strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP rules.

· Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

· Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

· Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.

· Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

· Strict adherence to Shelly Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies.

· Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

· Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Shelly Company employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.

· Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and supervisors with additional duties as needed.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalency; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively to exchange ideas and understand instructions.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of common departmental situations.
