Position Overview
This is a skilled administrative position responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of fleet and logistics duties. The role will spend each day managing safety, training, maintenance documentation related to transportation and equipment shop operations.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties & Functions)
- Maintain and update all safety records and training files for transportation and equipment shop staff.
- Coordinate and schedule safety trainings, certifications, and compliance reviews.
- Manage inventory and order supplies for the fleet and equipment shop.
- Maintain records and schedules for transportation equipment inspections to ensure compliance and safe operation.
- Assist with data entry for fleet and logistics operations.
- Coordinate logistics/fleet-related office supplies.
- Operate office and shop equipment including but not limited to: computers, copiers, printers.
- Monitor and Support compliance with transportation safety regulations and internal protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years of related administrative or fleet/logistics experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write clear correspondence and safety documentation.
Mathematical Skills
- Basic math ability is required.
Computer Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and database management is a major plus.
Competencies
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team with shared responsibilities.
- Knowledge of basic office and shop practices and protocols.
- Ability to speak Spanish may be a plus.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
