Position Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Joints & Seals business for IPE. In this role you will have full business leadership and accountability on the P&L which also includes responsibility for all Safety, Legal, and Compliance of the business area.
Focus will be on ensuring budget delivery on budget, and ensuring future growth to support the long term strategy for the business.

The Managing Director Joints & Seals, is a key member of the IPE leadership team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead the Joints and Seals business
HSE
- Lead HSE for the division: Accountability for the Safety Performance and Improvement of all sites
- Develop a Positive Safety Culture in the business
- Adherence to all legal and corporate requirements relating to HSE
- Responsibility for delivery of H&S improvement initiatives: Strategy, Structure and Results
- Deliver HSE Metrics as determined in Annual review/budget process
Governance and Controls responsibility
- Full Legal and CRH/IPE Policy adherence of sites
- Adherence to Financial standards, Policies and SODA
- Adherence to ISO/ other management compliance requirements as determined
- Periodic Management reporting
- Adherence to full Supply chain legal obligations
- Institute robust business management processes and accountabilities
- Deliver Periodic Business reporting as required by IPE
HR responsibility
- Talent Management
- Succession planning
- Appraisal processes
- Employee training and development
- Manage pay costs and headcount according to the budget
Delivery of Budget
- Delivery of all target metrics and financials as determined by the Budget process
- Sales

Strategy
- Strategic Sales Growth: Ensure plan and resource to organically grow the business in adjacent markets (Geographic and Product)
- Innovation

- Provide innovation pipeline to both defend margin of current products and new revenue lines with suitable margin. New revenue lines to ensure continued growth of business
- Delivery of innovation pipeline using strong governance and methodology
- Capex

- Provide Robust Governance to Capex Projects that result in On time, in budget delivery

- Build Capex plan that supports Sustainability, Growth and Margin enhancement agenda
- Lead the delivery of de-bottleneck and automate (where viable) production to meet future sales growth demands

- Delivery of Bagging Line / Automation project to agreed Timeline and Budget
- Design and Delivery of Strategic plan

- Work with IPE Commercial Director and S&D Manager to build focussed country Specific Sales targets with resourcing in place to deliver

- Ensure capacity constraints are addressed in a timely and most cost efficient manner (connection with Capex plan)
- Correct resourcing through value chain in place to deliver growth
- Supported by central IPE teams- requires close liaison with IPE functional team

- Long term Strategic planning and Strategy delivery (Playbook/Roadmap/Delivery)
