Position Overview

The Sales Billing Clerk reports to the Customer Service Manager. They are responsible for servicing internal and external customers by compiling and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process daily sales edits, coordinating with members of the sales team
  • Initiate calls to customers pertaining to payment issues
  • Create and maintain documentation of key processes and activities within individual scope of responsibility
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement initiatives to drive simplicity, automate, remove non-value-added work, and standardize processes
  • Comply with all CRH procedures, policies, and documentation requirements, while maintaining SOX compliance
  • Cross train in other areas of Inside Sales
  • Organize a large volume of emails daily and respond in a timely manner
  • Operate multiple applications running at the same time to achieve all tasks
  • Problem solving to understand billing issues and working with others to make sure customer invoices are correct and accurate
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work independently with a heavy emphasis on attention to detail
  • Able to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment or independently
  • Communication is critical in this position – working with both the Sales & Finance Teams
  • Able to handle and organize a large volume of emails daily and responding in a timely manner
  • Able to respond to stressful situations, co-workers, and customers in a professional, courteous manner
  • Able to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check

 

Education/Experience

  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three years related experience
