Job Description Summary

 

  • Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
  • Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK, etc).
  • Develop strategy and tactics that ensure the attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Work with sales team to ensure the goals are understood and actionable.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to include demand forecasting, competitor capabilities and the next best alternatives. Maintain market share for applicable LOB’s.
  • Assure that Pennsy Supply bids all appropriate jobs within our marketing area. Lead the development of bid strategy for each job.
  • Establish short and long term goals and strategies in regards to key clients and trading areas. Develop specific action plans to achieve goals.
  • Make specific recommendations regarding advertising, promotions, and public relations as they affect sales and stakeholder management.
  • Partner with other departments (Quality Control, Production Operations, Transportation, Dispatch, etc.) to ensure every account receives appropriate level of customer service.
  • Communicate with other managers to manage and coordinate sales to customers who overlap geographic boundaries, as well as to leverage the CRH portfolio across company boundaries.
  • Actively participate in industry-related associations in order to develop and maintain key business relationships.
  • Help build a great place to work and a fun, positive and passionate environment for those around you.
  • Maintain a culture of accountability within sales team and the rest of the organization.
  • Acknowledge and appreciate others in the organization as well as coach, listen and
  • Be a continuous learner and facilitate continuous improvement in the sales group as well as the rest of the organization.
  • Understand your customer’s business and problems. Find innovative ways to aid their business. Those innovations should provide value for CRH also. Become a consultative
  • expert in our field.  Inform customers when our products are being used improperly or when product quality is being impaired. Document such discussions for later review.
  • Promote and be active in CRH and Pennsy Supply safety culture & initiatives. Take action to see and stop any unsafe acts on jobs or sites.
  • Track and report progress of sales programs to the management team.  Utilize data, analysis and tools to track, benchmark and trend sales to see opportunities and risks.
  • Foster enduring relationships with customers, creating and maintaining strong partnerships.
  • Support sales team to identify and build new accounts as well as key accounts.
  • Understand and disseminate financials and message them to Executive Leadership as well as to Sales Team.
  • Develop and lead go to market strategy using the collective intelligence of the group
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Must submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.

 

Education/Experience

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or sales related experience.
  • Experience or background in quality control with related products preferred.
