Position Overview
As a Ready Mixed Concrete Batchperson, you will be responsible for producing high-quality concrete through precise batching using Command Batch, our automated batching system. This role ensures the plant runs efficiently and safely while meeting all customer and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Operate Command Batch system to accurately batch concrete based on approved mix designs.
- Coordinate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure efficient loading and timely deliveries.
- Monitor raw material inventory and request replenishment to maintain continuous operations.
- Maintain accurate production and batching records in compliance with company and DOT standards.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with quality control, plant personnel, and drivers.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all CRH safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Work Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of batching experience preferred; experience using Command Batch strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with concrete mix designs, materials, and quality standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
- Basic computer proficiency; ability to use Microsoft Office and plant control systems.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and pre-work screen exam.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
