Job Summary:

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope has an exciting internship role open within the Human Resources department. As the HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company. By working closely with the HR Manager you will gain a deeper understanding of business insight and how to collaborate cross-functionally. The purpose of this internship is to provide hands-on experience and to present real-world insight into the human resources/manufacturing industry. This Internship is a paid position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • General support to the Human Resource team including:
    • Assisting with recruiting processes, such as, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and performing phone screens
    • Administrative work, such as creating and maintaining personnel files, auditing files, etc..
  • Will also assist with research projects and special projects as needed.
  • Provide support of new-hire onboarding process
  • Assist in development and delivery of training programs
  • HRIS management – updates, reporting, etc.
  • Assist and coordinate a variety of company events and meeting
  • Provide project support to the Human Resources manager
  • Performs other duties as needed

 

Education & Experience:

  • Pursuing a degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Management or Organization Development with a focus in Human Resources 
  • Effective oral and written communication, and excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
  • Work Hours: Monday-Friday up to 20 hours a week
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship
