Job Summary
A maintenance technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems within a facility. This role is essential for ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently, minimizing downtime, and preventing costly breakdowns.
Job Responsibilities

Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently. This includes conducting routine inspections, checking for leaks, and testing equipment

Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition and prevent breakdowns

Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, using diagnostic tools and their own expertise

Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary

Work with both electrical and mechanical systems within the facility

Respond to emergency repair requests to address urgent issues and minimize downtime

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory

Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work, share information, and address issues

Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency
-
Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems once they are completed
-
May be required to be on-call

Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility

Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical training certificate or associate’s degree in related field a plus

At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field

Must be able to follow safety protocols and adhere to company safety standards

Must have technical expertise of mechanical and electrical systems, problem-solving ability, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and communication skills

Ability to diagnose issues with equipment and systems by using diagnostic tools, observing symptoms, and testing components

Skilled in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and pneumatic tools

Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
