CRL, the leading full-service provider of architectural metals and glass fittings, is seeking an experienced and energetic, regional Architectural Business Development Manager based in California. This position will report to the Director of Architectural Business Development and is responsible for building and promoting the CRL brand and products within the architecture and construction industries in the Western US region. The Business Development Manager will identify opportunities, build relationships, and provide product design and technical information assistance needed to secure product specifications across the entire CRL architectural metals and glass fittings portfolio.


Job Requirements & Expectations

  • Build strong working relationships within the regional architectural and design community
  • Maintain the highest level of product knowledge
  • Deliver technical solutions and product recommendations
  • Prospect both specified and unspecified projects in partnership with sales teams
  • Effectively manage multiple projects throughout the design and development process
  • Conduct presentations, both virtual and in-person, to raise awareness of CRL products, services, applications, and industry updates.
  • Ability to maintain close relationships through intensive client interaction and follow-up
  • Demonstrate a firm experience-based understanding of the specification driven bidding process
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and diagrams, and correctly interpret technical specifications
  • Display a high level of critical thinking to identify needs, requirements, and concerns, in order to communicate solution-based answers to complex questions
  • Engage in a collaborative environment with team members throughout the organization
  • Ability to fully utilize CRM software and other customer-centric technologies
  • Participate in personal and professional development
  • Comfort working across a large product portfolio




  • Experience within the commercial real estate development, design, and construction community is a must.
  • Recent experience as a Project Manager, Sales or Business Development Leader.
  • Ability to engage customers on a high level b2b platform. 
  • Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability
  • In order to present CRL products, services and capabilities, must possess ability to communicate effectively.
  • Exudes a high level of professionalism and self-awareness
  • LEED certification, BIM Project Management experience a plus
