Job Summary

Responsible for direct supervision of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and compliance functions.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures 
  • Oversee consolidation and reporting of monthly results; review financial statements
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls (i.e. SOX compliance) through oversight of Business Process and Controls Group
  • Manage audits performed by Internal Audit and external auditors and remediate audit findings
  • Assist with the annual budget process by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and recommending plans in coordination with the FP&A Group
  • Manage various external relationships, including Oldcastle, Inc. and Private Equity owners (parent companies) and third-party tax firms
  • Assist with the preparation of the cash flow forecasts in coordination with the FP&A Group  
  • Prepare various ad-hoc reporting for executive management team
  • Manage Assistant Controller, Business Process and Controls Group and their direct reports

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

To be considered for a Corporate Controller position, the following conditions must be met:

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance
  • CPA is required
  • 7-10+ years of experience in public or industry accounting (both preferred)
  • 5+ years managerial experience (Teams of 8+Direct Reports)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS understanding preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skill with positive attitude supporting superior Team results
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid time management, Leadership and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by completing licensure continued education requirements, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
