Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® is seeking a full-time Customer Service/ Door Coordinator to work in the All Glass Entrance Department in our Moorestown location. This position will assist the Door Manager in order entry, quotations, and customer inquiries.  They will serve as an ambassador (customer advocate) between the customer and the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Service.  Handle incoming inquiries; technical and design assistant; and order follow-up.
  • Quotation.  Assist in pricing all requests based on market conditions and profit guidelines established by Sales Manager & General Manager.  Maintain all cost files and computer programs for generating accurate cost/sell process.  Provide on-going feedback to General Manager and Sales on quote activity. Maintain records and follow-up on quotation activity.
  • Assist in order processing, coordination with Production and Shipping Supervisor to direct the production.  Assist in order expenditures and follow through to shipment.  Assist in post-shipment inquiries, problems, etc.
  • Sales.  Interact with Sales personnel to grow and develop selected accounts.  Inform Sales of market conditions.  Provide Sales with sales reports for analysis of accounts. 
  • To use proper telephone manners as company representative which includes good listening skills, clear voice and use of hard copy as verification of conversation.
  • To keep customer(s) informed regarding order status, pro-active sales, delivery status, technical information, production capabilities, some price quotes, general pricing information, credit/debit information and glass return information.
  • Process all customer-related information in accordance with daily order entry cut-off times.  Responses to customers should also be handled in a timely manner.
  • Provides door related technical assistance to customers and all sales staff,
  • Regular and predictable attendance safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

To be considered for a Door Coordinator, the following conditions must be met:

  • Sales experience required.  Glass or metal sales, manufacturing or construction/project management experience strongly recommended.  
  • Ability to read and understand architectural blue prints and specifications. 
  • Ability to read and perform mathematical calculations with numbers, fractions, decimals, metric, and geometry normally acquired with experience and formal education. 
  • Must have good verbal and written skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, ability to work independently and prioritize work. 
  • Ability to read and use tape measure. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Computer knowledge of spreadsheets and basic drafting knowledge necessary.  

 

Equipment

Standard office environment as such but not limited to: Laptop or desktop computer, copiers, scanner, telephone, fax, calculator, and printers

 

 

Safety

  • Follow plant safety procedures when in-home plant facility including wearing necessary safety equipment while out on the plant floor. Follow all plant safety procedures while in a customer plant facility.  PPE always required while on the production floor. 
  • Field inspection safety requirements are hardhat, gloves, shoes and safety glasses. 
  • When handling glass, sleeves or tuff n lite are required in addition to steel-toed boots. 
  • If the construction site requires additional equipment, compliance is required.  Consult with the customer or the job superintendent for specifics before a field visit is made. 
  • While visiting clients or constructions sites, appropriate footwear is required (no open shoes or heels)
  • The company has issued gloves, sleeves, hardhat, boots, and safety glasses. 

 

Work Environment

Work performed mainly in office environment where temperature is controlled.  However, exposure to a production environment can occur for which may be subject to:

  • Various types of weather, traffic, and road conditions.
  • Normal climate conditions of the region will also be present such as humidity, heat, and cold. 
  • Noise levels in the work environment (in truck or plant facility) can be moderate to high.
  • Plant facility environment is subject to unusually warm temperatures during the summer months due to the heat generated by the glass tempering furnaces
  • Within the plant facility, while the odors from glass cleaning, sealants, and other products are within acceptable levels, they nevertheless, can be smelled.  Dust, pollen and other typical airborne particulate matter are also present within the atmosphere within the plant facility.
