Job Summary

 

The Stone Fabricator is responsible for safely and efficiently fabricating outdoor living products using and assembling concrete pavers, retaining wall blocks, and related hardscape materials to meet customer specifications. 

 

Job Responsibilities                                                            

  • Read job specifications to determine material requirements
  • Perform various duties such as cutting, grinding, gluing, leveling, measuring dimensions for accuracy
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Move materials and finished products using forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required
  • Perform various minor machine maintenance (changing out springs/blades)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Assist with additional production and fabrication duties as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals

Job Requirements                              

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Operate fabrication equipment, block saw, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive work throughout the day
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in the manufacturing environment
  • Provide assistance to others in who may require it (team lift)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement practices
  • Must be able to perform essential duties of the job
  • High school diploma or similar experience a plus
  • Strong verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
  • Previous fabrication, masonry, stone, concrete, manufacturing, welding, carpentry, construction experience a plus but will train
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurements skills
  • Standing and bending extended periods of time
  • Manufacturing setting
