Purpose of this role
 
Working with the Project Manager and engaging with Site Managers around the region to implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles to improve production quality, safety and reduce downtime. Based in Sydney, but able to travel to support other locations when projects demand.   • Ensuring and promoting compliance with all EH&S systems and procedures.
  • Ensuring machinery conforms to machine safety standards.
  • R&D to help improve the efficient of new and existing machines.
  • Promoting customer service excellence at all times.
  • Helping to perform risk assessments and SOP’s on new and existing machinery.
  • Working with all operational teams in Australia to support production safety, quality and output.
  • Liaising with machinery and parts suppliers and external maintenance teams ensuring spare parts for critical items are available when needed.
  • Applying Lean principles to improve machinery design.
  • Gathering and analysing accurate information to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of all plant and equipment to achieve optimum availability and meet budget requirements. Assist plant in identifying bottle necks and improvement activities for increased performance. 
  • Implement continuous improvement, lean manufacturing principles using problem solving and root cause analysis. 
  • Assist in the identification, administration, and implementation of capital projects to improve process capability and workplace safety.
