Position Overview
This is a skilled position encompassing all aspects of dispatch and management of Staker Parson Materials & Construction Customer Service Center. The individual is responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department. The manager needs to be able to build and sustain a team where everyone works well together. Team atmosphere needs to be collaborative with everyone sharing in responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
• Maintain safety of all personnel working within the business unit.
• Personnel recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, motivating, and retaining.
• Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Assist team with taking customer orders, scheduling, and managing deliveries.
• Assist with managing, directing, and scheduling drivers.
• Must be responsive to customers’ needs and resolve problems.
• Champion innovation, integrate new processes that improve efficiency.
• Responsible to deliver metric and improving performance.
• Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes.
• Knowledge of aggregate and asphalt products.
• Appraising performance, including quarterly evaluations and new employee 60-day evaluations.
• Addressing complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Assist in product sales and customer relations management.
• Ensure that Staker Parson Companies is the Preferred Source and an industry-leader in the area served by the business unit.
• Knowledge of areas in which we deliver with the ability to get trucks to the jobsite safely and efficiently.
• Building of trust and rapport with customers and employees.
• Must be able and willing to travel to site locations.
• Must be willing to work after hours.
• Manager will need to understand the importance of putting the customer at the center of our business.
• Assist Sales team.
Qualifications

Education/Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dispatch and or supervisory experience preferred.
• The individual should have (or be able to quickly gain) knowledge of JWS Apex, Material Quote, Viewpoint, Salesforce, Tyfoom, Onbase, Share Service utility, Internet software, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Pivot Tables.
• Knowledge of rebill process and Audit requirements.
• Knowledge of SCR filings.
• Any customer relations course certificates, licenses and registrations are helpful.
Work Requirements
Two to three years of office and clerical work. Previous experience in management and/or a culture development will receive preference.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
•Ability to read, comprehend and give instructions.
•Ability to write detailed and accurate correspondences.
•Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
•Basic math skills are required.
•Ability to speak a foreign language is a plus
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred: Word, Excel, etc.
•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
•Knowledge of basic office practices and protocol.
•Excellent customer service skills are mandatory for this position.
•Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer and/or employee situations.
•Responds promptly to customer and/or employee needs.
•Solicits feedback to improve service.
