Job Summary
The Machine Operator I is responsible for the packaging of a variety of the company’s vinyl product line. This role supports several areas of manufacturing, including quality and assembly.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting
- Moves product and inventory using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual lifting
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Measures and inspects product that comes off the line
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow all prescribed safety regulations
- Break down cardboard for recycling as required
- Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business
Job Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions
- Ability to read work order specifications and orders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
