Position Overview

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of end dumps and /or belly dumps (with and without trailers and tarping systems). Drivers will deliver all types of soils, aggregates, asphalt and other materials to locations both residential and commercial. 

Wage Range:  $24 to $30 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Thorough operational knowledge and skills of end dumps and/or belly dumps (with and without pups) and related equipment to be operated.
• Can operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Must keep time and material records.
• Must follow verbal and written instruction.
• Knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates.
• Must have maneuvering and backing skills with double and triple pup.
• Must be able to communicate effectively on the radio system.
• Connect and disconnect pup trailer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience                                              

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
• 1 - 2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment a plus. 

Work Requirements

• Must be 18 years in age or older.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
• Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (more than75% of the time).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must possess a valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or Class B
• Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard
