Job Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall plant operations, including all production and ensuring all employees strive to meet the standards set forth by the company for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Preventative maintenance, and Bottom-line results. This role reports into the Site Manager.
Job Location
- This is an onsite role based in at our concrete manufacturing facility in Tracy, CA.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct all plant manufacturing processes and ensure quality products while maintaining a safe work environment
- Plan and direct the layout of equipment, workflow and workforce utilization as well as participating in the procurement of raw materials, supplies and other production needs
- Planning and establishing work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals
- Review production reports and profit-loss statements
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all production employees
- Provide leadership and direction for overall production in accordance with our vision and values
- Inspire, train and coach team members on daily responsibilities, procedures, or process changes
- Monitor performance of each team member and provide feedback
- Work with Site Manager and Production Manager to improve manufacturing processes and ensure quality of products while maintaining a safe work environment
- Plan and coordinate efficient use of employees, materials, and machine to meet business goals
- Communicate necessary information and issues to employees and management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years as a plant manager in a similar industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Prior experience managing people in production, equipment, maintenance and/or quality control
- Ability to interpret production reports and P&L statements
- Strong background in maintenance with an understanding of processes and equipment
- Proficient in MS Office suite, web-based data management tools and Internet applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, working inside and outside, and use of fall protection equipment
- Able to perform job tasks in dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
- Must wear company provided personal protective equipment - earplugs, hard hat, safety boots/shoes*, and protective glasses
Compensation
- $115,000 - $140,000
