Position Overview

Part-time Security Coordinator based out of our Pompton Lakes Quarry who will provide plant and facility protection and safeguard all of Company assets. Monitor, guard and patrol premises to prevent theft, trespassing, violence or infractions of rules.

 

Key Responsibilities

(Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Makes scheduled tours of plant and grounds at all TNY locations to ensure security of all entry points, and watches for conditions that could result in injury or loss.
  • Manages security devices such as trail cameras and portable cameras and documents.  Keeps accurate documentation of intel gathered from devices.
  • Enforce Company policy as it relates to 3rd party truckers and vendors.
  • Involved in incident investigation on an as needed basis. 
  • Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
  • Hours are determined in conjunction with specific plant needs.  Hours can vary week to week as security needs dictate.
  • Reports to supervisor and police authorities any unusual or suspicious condition detected. Work closely with State and Local Police on an as needed basis.
  • Document and retain regular inspection reports, incident reports, and authority interactions.
  • Complies with all environmental, health, safety & training policies, procedures and requirements. Initially, will receive the twenty-four (24) hours New Miner Training.  Annually, will participate in Refresher training.
  • Comply with all company regulations on usage of a company provided fleet vehicle-all travel is local.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education/Experience

Required

  • High school diploma and a minimum 10 years Law Enforcement Background

 

Preferred

  • Knowledge of the latest technology in security systems.

 

Work Requirements

  • Work a temporary, alternative schedule or shift as requested by supervisor or required by operational needs.

This job will require both office work and field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
