 Job Description Summary

The Customer Service Representative works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to fulfill the needs of customers throughout the Greater Rochester area. He or she answers the phone promptly with an accommodating tone of voice, takes the customer’s order for ready-mixed concrete in a detailed, timely and professional manner, and records accurate delivery and product information on that order. This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.  This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Customer Service functions including, but not limited to the following:

  • Take and process customer orders for ready-mixed concrete accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with QC, sales, and operations personnel to ensure effective delivery of concrete
  • Organize and send requested reports and/or order information to customers and/or internal personnel
  • Occasionally dispatch trucks to be loaded for delivery
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Requirements

  • Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel
  • Phone skills including multi line systems
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
  • Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime
  • Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Dispatchers, Drivers and other employees
  • Demonstrate the ability to comply with government regulations and engage in Dolomite’s safety culture

 


Education/Experience

  • Ready-mix industry or call center experience preferred but will train the right person
  • High school graduate or equivalent
