Testing Lead – SAP S/4HANA Transformation (CRH)

Location: Primarily Remote | Regular European Travel
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (Minimum 12 Months)

Lead the Testing Strategy Behind One of Europe’s Largest SAP Transformations

CRH is embarking on a major SAP S/4HANA Bluefield Upgrade (Connect Upgrade) programme across multiple European operating companies, and we're looking for a highly experienced Testing Lead to take ownership of the end-to-end testing strategy and execution.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in a complex ERP transformation, working with senior stakeholders, business process owners, SAP experts, and external partners to ensure a successful programme delivery.

If you're a hands-on SAP testing professional with deep expertise in SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) and Tricentis TTA, and you enjoy leading large-scale testing programmes in international environments, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Testing Lead, you'll be responsible for designing, managing, and delivering the full testing lifecycle across the programme.

Key Responsibilities

Define and implement the overall testing strategy for the SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.

Lead and coordinate all testing phases, including:

  • Unit Testing
  • System Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Regression Testing

Ensure test environments, test data, and readiness activities are effectively planned and delivered.

Manage and coordinate cross-functional testing teams, including internal resources and third-party partners.

Develop and maintain:

  • Test plans
  • Test scripts
  • Traceability matrices
  • Testing governance and reporting

Track testing progress, risks, defects, and resolution status, providing clear updates to programme leadership.

Drive stakeholder engagement across business and technical workstreams to ensure complete testing coverage.

Own the end-to-end use of SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), including:

  • Test planning and execution
  • Defect management
  • Reporting and tracking
  • Requirement traceability

Oversee the integration of Tricentis TTA with SAP Cloud ALM, ensuring automated testing is fully aligned, traceable, and auditable.

Lead knowledge transfer and capability building within CRH, helping teams maximise the value of SAP Cloud ALM and Tricentis.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Extensive experience leading testing programmes within complex SAP environments.
  • Significant knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and cross-functional integration points.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale ERP testing programmes across multiple workstreams.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), including configuration, test management, defect management, and reporting.
  • Experience managing full test lifecycles from strategy through to go-live validation.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Tricentis TTA with SAP Cloud ALM.
  • An excellent understanding of:
    • Automated testing execution
    • Defect synchronisation
    • Requirement-to-test traceability
    • Test coverage reporting
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous SAP S/4HANA upgrade or transformation programme experience.
  • Experience operating within multinational or multi-country SAP programmes.
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM dashboards, scope management, and testing governance best practices.

Travel & Work Eligibility

This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel across Europe, including:

  • UK
  • Dublin
  • Amsterdam (typically once per month)

Occasional additional travel may be required to locations such as:

  • Germany
  • Romania
  • Finland

Candidates must have the unrestricted right to work within the EU and be able to travel freely throughout European countries. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
