Basic Function:
A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the optimization of our mechanical processing equipment with a major focus on the
CNC operations. Providing your viewpoint and observations on process improvement and future direction is important. Freely
supporting the OPEX (Operational Excellence) continuous improvement program is also necessary.

 

Responsibilities:
 Ability to program and trouble shoot deficiencies on production equipment. This may include, but is not limited to:
 Equipment modifications
 Programming modifications
 Training oversight
 Improve equipment feeds/speeds
 Error proof operations
 Assesses changes required in the production of parts and develops ways to sustain and continuously improve all implemented
ideas.
 Ensure that production and test processes are being followed fully and correctly.
 Create manufacturing documentation, which is clear and concise and can be utilized by typical manufacturing personnel.
 Support the Operational Excellence Team with process improvement initiatives.
 Creates and implements manufacturing cells when applicable.
 Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for
maximum efficiency.
 Provide timely communication of project reporting, schedules, status, issues, and potential misses or exceptions on a regularly
scheduled basis.
 Work with senior management to identify industry best practices for manufacturing equipment.
 Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
 Strong working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
 Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with Company Critical Safety Rules.
 Support second shift operations as necessary

 

Requirements:
 Proficiency in mechanical and machining processes and equipment
 Extensive experience in CNC processes.
 Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills.
 Working knowledge of instrumentation, electro-mechanical, electro-magnetic devices.
 Hands-on manufacturing environment exposure.
 Associates degree in engineering or related field or equivalent of work experience
 Computer Literate with experience in the Microsoft Office products.
 Working knowledge of OSHA Safety standards, quality and environmental laws, regulations, and goals.
