Job Title: Mining Intern

Location:

This is an in-person internship based out of the Capital District

Job Description:

Are you passionate about the mining and environmental industry and eager to gain hands-on experience in the field? We're looking for a motivated Mining Intern to join our team for the summer of 2024. This internship provides a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the design and implementation of mine plans for quarries while gaining valuable insights into the world of mining.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Work (50%):

- Collaborate with experienced professionals to conduct on-site geological assessments.

- Assist in the timing of haul packages.

- Participate in the design and layout of roads patterns.

- Gain exposure to blast pattern design and analysis.

- Utilize GPS technology to track and map essential data.

- Operate drones for aerial surveys and data collection.

2. Office Work (50%):

- Work with AutoCAD to create detailed mine plans and layouts.

- Assist in data analysis and modeling to optimize quarry operations.

- Collaborate with the team to develop cost-effective solutions and recommend improvements.

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus but not required.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- A passion for the mining industry and a desire to learn and contribute to the team.
