Job Summary
The Group Quality Manager is responsible for leading and standardizing quality management across a designated business unit (Energy), supporting multiple manufacturing sites. This role ensures products and processes consistently meet internal and external quality standards, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of quality throughout the organization. The Group Quality Manager will collaborate with plant-level teams, national quality leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to implement robust quality systems, resolve escalated issues, and support certification initiatives. Additionally, this role will collaborate with other business unit quality teams and support overall National Solutions initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
- Quality System Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain standardized quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO9001, TL9000, and other relevant standards for the assigned business unit.
- Ensure adherence to documented procedures and drive a culture of quality at all supported sites.
- Lead internal audits and support external certification audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.
- Process & Performance Improvement: Identify and drive process optimization and efficiency enhancements across sites.
- Collaborate with plant and business unit teams to implement improvements and monitor effectiveness.
- Track and report on key quality metrics (COPQ, KPIs, case trends) at both plant and business unit levels.
- Case & Change Management: Oversee case management systems for tracking and resolving quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Escalate critical cases and ensure timely resolution, leveraging cross-site and cross-functional resources.
- Formalize change point management processes to ensure traceability and control of process changes.
- Testing, Equipment, and Calibration: Standardize testing protocols, equipment recommendations, and calibration standards across sites.
- Support new product development (NPD) and engineering testing, ensuring robust validation and documentation.
- Review and propose equipment needs, manage calibration schedules, and ensure data integrity.
- Supplier & Customer Interface: Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Address customer complaints, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor customer feedback and drive initiatives to enhance satisfaction.
- Training & Capability Building: Develop and deliver quality-related training programs for site and business unit teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and best practice sharing across locations.
- Documentation & QMS Enhancement: Support document control, procedure creation, and updates, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Link documentation systems to enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) for consistency and traceability.
- Strategic & Organizational Alignment: Align quality initiatives with business unit and corporate goals.
- Participate in monthly and biweekly report-outs, sharing insights and driving national rollout of successful site-level solutions.
- Support ISO implementation schedules and certification readiness for all assigned sites.
- Collaborate with other business unit quality teams and support overall National Solutions initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field and 10+ years’ experience in quality management, preferably supporting multiple sites and business units.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and other relevant standards.
- Experience in developing and maintaining QMS, SOPs, and document management systems.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in complex environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel – Up to 30% as needed.
