Purpose of the Role: The Product Development Team Leader leads the Forming & Reinforcing R&D Team with a focus on developing new products, as well as incremental development of existing products within those two categories. Work is prioritised and budgeted in accordance with strategic objectives determined by the Product Management Team. The Product Development Team Leader oversees the entire product development process, from the initial feasibility phase to implementation, following the Leviat innovation stage-gate process.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Team leadership, management and accountability
- Product development project prioritisation and planning
- Management of the Leviat innovation stage-gate process on relevant projects
- Overseeing of product certifications and approvals within own perimeter
- Management of team training programme and continuing professional development
- Coordination of relevant fundamental research initiatives
- Communication interface with key stakeholders; both internal and external to the Leviat Product Organisation

Key Functional Competencies & relevant experience:
- Master’s degree in civil , structural or mechanical engineering
- Professional membership at charter level with a relevant engineering institution
- Minimum of five years experience in product R&D in a complex/matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in English – both spoken and written
- Strong people leadership, with an ability to help a team develop and follow a common vision
- Travel and mobility flexibility at an international level, as required to manage effectively a diverse and remote team
- Robust organisational and product management approach
