 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Receive and process requests directly from customers (via telephone, fax and email) for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, material returns, billing corrections, product information, order changes, and cancellations.
  • Utilize excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Learn and understand the different products OBE Tampa offers.
  • Read, interpret, process and possibly question orders received by customers to ensure they are entered correctly.
  • Understand fractions and decimals.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Utilize a computer to process all orders into a computer program.
  • Coordinate with outside sales representatives with meeting customer needs
  • Troubleshoot and/or research customer issues
  • Understand customer needs and priorities and communicate them to the production team.
  • Develop professional rapport with our large customer base.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job

 

Requirements 

 

  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high demand/fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organization
  • Ability to work in a team setting with individual responsibilities
  • Basic Windows® based computer skills
  • Strong mathematical skills, including ability to read fractions and decimals
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service
  • High School Diploma, required, Associates degree, preferred
  • Organized, self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, phones, and prioritize workload & work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to communicate effectively & conduct oneself professionally; excellent written & verbal communication skills
