Job Summary


The Project Manager will plan, direct and coordinate all activities on designated projects from the point of sale to completion to ensure that the projects are accomplished on time and in conformance with all the terms and conditions of the contracts.  In addition, he/she will act as the main contact person for the customer and all vendors on a particular project. He/she is directly responsible for monitoring the project costs and compliance with contract documents, attending job meetings and protecting Oldcastle’s interest throughout the entire process. 




  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing-vendor-subcontractor requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.​​​​​
  • Establishes work plan and staffing-vendors-subcontractors for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Confers with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel-vendors-subcontractors to ensure project progresses on schedule, per plans & specifications, and within prescribed budget.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.  Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with project personnel-vendors-subcontractors to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Generates and maintains project/production schedules, sequencing, logic, and resource loading.
  • Perform material take-offs and establish specific scope of work for vendors and subcontractors.
  • Generates and issues purchase orders, subcontracts, and supporting documents for material procurement and trade partner agreements.
  • Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies





  • 3+ years of Project Management experience, ideally within the construction or precast concrete industry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several large to small, complex projects simultaneously. 
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. *Civil Engineering preferred
  • Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience time in manufacturing facilities and construction jobsite which may include frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.  The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
